Banking & payment information

We collect banking details and payment records to verify accounts and process settlements. These are stored separately from public systems and used only for verification, payments, refunds, and lawful record-keeping.

Encryption

Data between your device and our servers is sent over HTTPS. Sensitive account and verification documents are encrypted at rest and stored on monitored infrastructure.

What we collect and why

We collect only what is needed to run Buy That Horse safely: contact details, identity and banking documents, listing and auction activity, and payment history. This supports account verification, fraud prevention, transactions, and our legal obligations.

Access controls

Access to your data is limited to authorised staff on a need-to-know basis. Third-party processors we use are bound by confidentiality and data-protection agreements.
